The Opportunity The Westpac Group, in partnership with Maxima Group Training, are seeking dedicated individuals who are looking to begin a career with one of Australia's largest companies and most widely regarded banks, to complete a full-time 24 month financial services traineeship. In particular, we encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply and register your interest. These opportunities will be based in Westpac's Lockleys Home Mortgage Centre. These roles are a great way to start your career in banking and finance in a supportive and professional environment. Westpac will provide in-depth training to ensure that you are set up for success. You will be joining Westpac's Home Ownership Services division and be responsible for assessing applications received from the broker, clarifying loan requirements, structuring the loan and completing approval processes in conjunction with credit policy. Your Westpac Career As a Lending Approval Trainee you will work your way to be a key Member of the Home Ownership Services Team within Group Operations, Property & Commercial Services (GOPCS) and your role will be paramount to helping contribute the delivery of Westpac's vision. Your role will contribute to Westpac's vision by being customer focused to meet their home lending needs through assessing the viability of the customer's application/request, verifying all documentation and addressing any quality deficiencies to protect both the customer and the bank. Westpac will provide you with a structured training program when you begin and then ongoing training to guide you. This opportunity is wholly unique to The Westpac Group and underlines their vision to have the best bankers in the market and provide the best service possible to customers. Day-to-day duties will include, but not be limited to:
  • Work as part of a team
